Reporting Line: APAC P&A Forecasting Manager

Position Summary

The Trek Asia-Pacific Forecasting group is responsible for having the right product, in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity for the purpose of supporting our Asia-Pacific customers. We are seeking a product forecaster to take on several key product categories within the business. Time management, organizational, data analysis and communication skills are essential. Understanding of the technical nature of bicycles, the bicycle industry, supply chain management and business operations are preferred. Experience in purchasing, forecasting and/or demand planning is also strongly preferred. This role will work primarily with Trek businesses in Japan, China, Australia, South Korea and New Zealand. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product forecasts, demand plans, purchase orders, and related inventory levels

  • Responsible for staying up to date on responsible category intelligence

  • Create and utilize reports with available business analytics tools

  • Create, maintain and communicate product forecasts, inventory plans, and production schedules

  • Create, place and maintain purchase orders for global consumption with established supplier partners

  • Liaise with key stakeholders (product managers, sales teams, marketing teams, customer care) on product details, availability, ETA’s and to seek in-market feedback

  • Actively communicate availability, product ETA’s and seek in-market feedback

  • Serve as a data steward for part setup and attribute setup with regard to all forecasting, supply planning and related business attributes

  • Product pricing and monitoring of profit

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Proactive problem-solving approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven critical thinking and collaborative skills for global business coordination

  • Analytical, highly numerate, and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with management

  • Ability to create and implement plans, processes and procedures

  • Customer first mentality, with a strong drive to personally take care of people

  • Ability to adapt to difference cultures in and around APAC

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong PC skills (including Microsoft Excel)

  • International business experience or exposure is a strong plus

  • Experience in purchasing, forecasting, or demand planning, ideally within an inventory management software strongly advantageous

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required
