About the Opportunity: In a first for the Australian bicycle industry & in partnership with Association of Cycle Traders - UK (ACT), we have launched “The Bicycle Academy”, a national training academy specifically for the training and career development of Bicycle Mechanics. We need expert bicycle mechanics who will facilitate a best practice Bicycle Mechanic Training Program, which incorporates the #1 global bicycle technician training, Cytech, and in conjunction with our RTO, Apprenticeship Group Australia (AGA-RTO#3829), a Certificate III in Bicycle Workshop Operations (AUR30220).

If you are an experienced bicycle mechanic with a mechanic certification or you are a car or motorcycle mechanic trainer who is passionate about bicycles, we would be very interested in talking to you about this exciting new opportunity.

About the Role: • Delivering comprehensive technical and industry training to new and existing bicycle mechanics and other bicycle industry employees and students. • Mentor and coach students consistent with the “The Bicycle Academy” career pathway, incorporating certified training & mechanic traineeships and/or apprenticeships. • Management of the student experience and development through accredited and non-accredited programs. • Communicate and develop cooperative relationships with employer’s industry partners & suppliers to ensure the training and development programs are consistent with industry standards and requirements.

About the Individual: • Hold a current mechanic certification, preferably a Certificate III in Bicycle Workshop Operations(AUR30220). • Alternatively, you are an experienced bicycle mechanic and be willing to complete the above certification through a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) training course. • Hold or be willing to complete a Certificate IV Training and Assessment Qualification (TAE40116). • Experience in developing and mentoring others. • Demonstrated high-level attention to detail, customer engagement and communication skills.
