THE ROLE We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Bicycle Tour Guide to support Wiradjuri Cycling Tours, to blend culture, adventure and fun to provide an exceptional tour experience. This tour will promote Wiradjuri culture and stories of this garray (land) that has significant importance from the oldest living culture. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining bicycle equipment at the end of each tour

  • Greeting and informing participants on TSA guidelines and itinerary

  • Encouraging safety amongst participants

  • Blend culture, adventure and fun to provide an exceptional tour experience

  • Contact participants to notify and reschedule if inclement weather

  • Confirm cycle booking by phone with participants the afternoon prior to scheduled tour

  • Answer social media and web enquiries in a timely manner

  • Send weekly reports to your line manager with: completed feedback forms, number of tours, participants ages and number of cancellations

Reporting to the Mission Coordinator this position is located in Wagga Wagga. WHAT WE OFFER

HOURS AND SALARY This is a casual position. Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Miscellaneous Award Level 1. SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE

  • Proficient in Bike Mechanics

  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365 and smart phones

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification

  • First Aid Kit (All Guides must provide their own cycling First Aid kit)

  • Basic Bike tools (includes a pump, multi-tool (1.5-8mm), torque wrench, set of tyre levers, Co2, spare tube, pocket tool and a puncture repair kit)

  • Strong Physical Fitness (You must have general physical fitness required as you must be comfortable riding the distances and terrain on all road bike trips.)

  • Valid and current Drivers Licence and Clear Driving Record

  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
