Business development manager - Brisbane

SCODY make highly technical sports clothing to help athletes look good, feel good and perform at their best. We make the clothes right here in West End. We are looking for an experienced BDM from a B2B background. This role will suit people with experience in recruiting, conference or radio sales.

In this role you will:

  • Self-source new business leads through multiple channels including cold calling, networking, referrals, referral partners/events, linkedin etc.

  • Be comfortable with cold/warm calls and able to make 20+ successful calls per day

  • Meet clients face to face to pitch/close new business

  • Be autonomous and able to be self-sufficient

Manage custom team clothing clients

  • Brief our design team on behalf of the client so that we can create original on trend designs that meet the client brief

  • Help our clients select the right garments for their needs

  • Process orders for clients

  • Communicate with our clients about their orders, in person, on the phone and by email

  • maintain the Salesforce database

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • have track record in business development and particularly in a business to business environment

  • have a passion for exercise and particularly cycling or triathlon

  • be organised and disciplined and able to pay attention to detail

  • have a happy disposition and be willing to help others

  • have good communication skills both written and verbal as well as a good telephone manner

  • be a self starter

The role is full time and working hours are normal business hours with some flexibility on start times.
