WestCycle is the peak body for cycling throughout Western Australia and a representative voice for all bike riders. An incorporated non-profit organisation with an independent Board of Directors, its dedicated team strives to develop, promote and enact positive change state-wide in relation to all aspects of bike riding. It embraces the recreational, urban mobility and competitive elements of bike riding across all disciplines. A dynamic and highly evolved organisation, WestCycle is now moving into an exciting new phase of growth and development.

What’s on offer:

The CEO reports to the Board of WestCycle and will be responsible for the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives through the proactive management and leadership of its operational, financial, human and physical resources across the State.

Key elements of the position are:

  • Leadership of a small, close knit team;

  • Stakeholder engagement with organisation and individual members, government, the media, commercial partners and the public;

  • Close collaboration with the bike riding community of WA;

  • The growth and development of existing and new and diverse funding sources;

  • Operational and strategic leadership of WestCycle;

  • Membership management and growth;

  • Oversee and develop WestCycle’s events portfolio; and

  • Lead the debate on all issues concerning bike riding in Western Australia.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced leader who will possess the core skills required to ensure success. These in particular will be:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead an organisation and work with a Board;

  • Outstanding communication, diplomacy and stakeholder engagement skills;

  • Substantial experience at an executive level

  • Keen commercial acumen and demonstrated business skills;

  • A leadership style that is inclusive and aspirational;

  • Ability to manage a range of differing priorities and stakeholder demands;

  • An outcomes-focussed approach.
