We’re looking for

A highly motivated and progressive leader to coordinate our Perth Bike Network and Programs area.

As the Coordinator Perth Bike Network and Programs, you will draw on relevant knowledge, skills and experience to lead one of our key cycling programs and deliver on a range of exciting and innovative projects arising from the Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) Plan.

If you have exceptional interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, can partner with stakeholders and colleagues to drive and deliver strategic projects, then this is the role for you.

This is a pool recruitment process. We currently have one full-time 18-month contract position to fill as the Coordinator Perth Bike Network and Programs, with possible extension and/or permanency. Should positions of a similar level become available across our other program areas, applicants deemed suitable during this recruitment process could be offered subsequent vacancies.

We need someone who can

  • Lead, motivate and develop team members

  • Demonstrate strategic program management skills and experience

  • Manage a grants scheme, including supervising administration and coordinating development of a grants management system

  • Lead and manage complex projects, including preparing contract briefs, tender documentation and evaluation, and presenting project reports and related budget information

  • Effectively manage staff to deliver high quality outcomes on time and within budget

  • Cultivate strong, productive working relationships and partnerships

  • Communicate effectively to engage local government, other state government agencies and the community to foster positive bike riding outcomes for the State

  • Influence at a senior level across industry and government bodies

  • Use conceptual, research and analytical skills to solve complex problems relating to cycling issues
