Inside Customer Service and Marketing assistant
Working in the retail bicycle industry? Looking for a change away from retail to wholesale?
We are looking for technically minded cycling enthusiasts to join our growing team.
The role can be either fulltime or part-time it is up to you.
What you’ll do
We are looking for someone to assist our current team with phone calls and marketing. In the customer service role you will work with our customers (bicycle shops) and assist them with ordering products, as well as help them through technical issues that they may be experiencing. The marketing role consists of updating of the company websites, creation of newsletters to our customers, as well as social media maintenance. Don’t stress on the job training is provided.

Qualifications & experience
Retail or customer service experience in the Bicycle industry necessary
Demonstrated ability to provide customer service and take detailed messages
Self-motivated and able to complete tasks in timely manner
Multitask, and an ability to prioritize tasks
Tasks & responsibilities
Answering customer questions from both shops and end users
Processing of orders and discussing service requirements including an update of product and service information
Assist customers with mechanical related issues
Maintaining and creating new relationships with customers
Maintaining company websites and social media marketing
Assist with warehouse duties when requested
Assist in routine Stock taking
Represent Oceania at trade shows and events
Location and Hours of operation
We are positioned in Lynbrook within the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We operate Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Skills and experience
Bicycle industry experience necessary
Keen to develop a thorough knowledge of bicycles and related products.
Outstanding verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to problem solve and meet our high standard of customer service.
Well presented and punctual.
The salary range will depend on the skills, experience and attributes of the successful applicant.
