Qualifications & experience
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
Consultative selling ability including successful negotiation skills.
Presentation skills and public speaking.
Excellent organisation, communication and planning skills.
Ability to maintain good relations with customers and demonstrated call cycles.
Computer skills (min. level Intermediate Word & Excel proficiency).
Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated success in direct sales experience within a wholesale distribution environment, ideally with experience in a specialty sport industry.
Past experience in retail and/or cycling will be an advantage.
Must hold a current drivers licence.
Flexible working hours in line with regional needs may be a requirement of this role.
Tasks & responsibilities
In this role, you will be an ambassador for PSI Cycling and grow the PSI Cycling brands and sales within your designated territory and customer base.
Develop and coordinate sales programs and selling cycle including model year launches. Analyse effectiveness of sales programs and costs.
Directly manage the sales team of Field Sales Representatives and Inside Sales Representatives.
Effectively liaise with Marketing, Product Management, IT, and Finance functions to support and enhance the sales strategies and programs.
Effectively communicate within the organisation the strategies and direction of the sales team.
Review recommendations submitted by sales personnel and finalise company sales forecasts.
Establish yearly expense budgets; review actual results in order to plan and take corrective action, as needed.
Participate in the development and approval of advertising and product promotion programs. This will involve attending events and launches as required to meet the sales goals.
Travel consistently in the market to obtain competitive knowledge as well as understanding and performance of the sales team. Work with department managers and communicate sales team requirements as well as attend Managers Team Briefings.
Directly responsible to provide input on a monthly basis for demand planning and have final accountability for adequate and exhaustive inventory for sales plan. Develop productivity of the Field Sales Representatives and related call cycles, target and incentive programs.
