About the role:

The Wholesale Finance Manager is responsible for the day to day financial management and reporting for the Australian and New Zealand Wholesale businesses. To be successful you will be a sought-after business partner with Managers across the business helping to drive strategic direction through financial analysis The Wholesale Finance Manager reports directly to the Australia and New Zealand Financial Controller

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Wholesale Australia and New Zealand Monthly management reports and analysis

  • Monthly financial reconciliations

  • Assist Management implement the business plan and other projects as required

  • Preparation of the annual budget

  • Management of expense budget

  • Financial Reporting to Financial Controller, APAC Finance Director and US office

  • Attend and produce reports for meetings with Managers of service lines

  • Treasury functions, review and approval of pay runs and general banking

  • Cash Forecasting

  • Management of Wholesale Finance staff

  • Preparation of monthly financial re-forecast

  • Preparation of monthly warranty reconciliation

  • Assistance with preparation of the year-end financial accounts & tax return

  • Co-ordinate and assist with annual audit

  • Review and lodgment of FBT return (prepared by Assistant Accountant)

  • Review BAS, Fortnightly Payroll, Payroll tax returns, WorkCover reports (prepared by Assistant Accountant monthly)

  • Management of company assets –fixed assets, cash, accounts and loans receivable

  • Management of business insurance policies

  • Document policies and procedures where required

  • Ad Hoc project work as required

What you bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification

  • Relevant experience in a similar position

  • Experience in monthly close process (preparation of balance sheet workpapers)

  • Commercial acumen with the ability to see beyond the numbers

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal

  • Excellent time management skills including timeliness of decisions

  • Show initiative with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (essential criteria)

  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Must be eligible to work in Australia (no visa sponsorship)

  • Have the ability to balance conflicting priorities and work well under pressure
