About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate product design engineer to join our design team. This is a great development opportunity for a graduate Industrial Designer or Product Design Engineer to learn from an experienced team of designers and engineers working on some awesome products at a fast growing company that is a global leader.

The role will allow you to get involved in the complete product development cycle from concept development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, right through to and sales and post sales support.

If you are a motivated person with a good mechanical understanding, a can do attitude with a solid work ethic this could be the perfect role for you. A passion or interest in cycling/mtb/motorbikes/automotive/marine or the outdoors is a plus but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product development

  • Product improvement

  • Product testing

  • Conceptual design and design Definition

  • Engagement in Continuous Improvement activities

About You:

You will bring with you a Bachelor of Product Design Engineering/Industrial Design/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and 0 - 2 years experience as well as:

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written to document and deliver required content to key stakeholders

  • Excellent organisational, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Strong work ethic and ability to communicate and collaborate with others.

  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Competency with 3D CAD software (Solidworks)

  • Ability to generate component specification documentation, 2D tolerance drawings

  • General Computer Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc)

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques

In addition the following skills would be advantageous however if you do not tick all of the boxes but have a passion for the role, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Ability to communicate ideas efficiently

  • Experience with Product rendering and animation

  • Familiarity with Adobe product suite

Exposure or experience with developing consumer products will be highly regarded and a passion or interest in cycling, mtb, motorbikes, automotive, marine or the outdoors would also be advantageous.
