About the business


KNOG is a unique global brand, based in Australia, launched in 2002.

We are looking to recruit a Global Channel Specialist with expertise in Sales Management, Account Management, Business Development and Product Management.

As we have grown, we have undertaken moving the brand into new (additional) channels, with new customers, and new products

You will report to the CEO/Founder


About the role


The role will have the following key responsibilities:

Sales Management

  • Managing distributor, key account and OEM relationships

  • Traveling into key markets to sell products and train retailers/reps.

  • Monthly Meetings with distributors/Key Accounts to address sell-through/Inventory needs

  • Establishing and reaching sales targets

  • Managing monthly order windows

  • Processing customer orders

  • Sales analysis and trends

  • Product presentations and brand training

  • Leading/Mentoring – a high performing team

  • Reporting to the CEO

Account Management

  • Sales forecasting

  • Promotional planning

  • Account plan strategy

  • Regular skype and email communications

  • Coordinating and attending events, tradeshows, meetings

Business Development

  • Identify new opportunities

  • Establish and contact new leads

  • Negotiating contract terms and targets

  • Collaborating on and developing / implementing strategic sales & innovative marketing plans.

  • Create best in class distributor, retailer and consumer communications

  • Developing and managing sales budgets

Product Management

  • Forecast production volumes

  • High level decision making

  • Calculate product pricing and margins structures

  • Item system generation and code allocations

The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, independent and have a great work ethic; they will enjoy a hands on approach with an eye for detail.


Skills and experience


Desired Skills and Expertise

The ideal candidate will posses:

  • 5 years experience working within the bicycle industry

  • Have created and built sales strategy (either as lead or team member)

  • Have led teams creating and building sales teams

  • Experience managing people/teams directly is important - the more experience here the better

  • Competent photographer and retoucher

  • Have used Google Analytics

  • Have created email campaigns
