Advance Traders Australia has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, team player to Lead the growing Logistics team based at the head office in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. The role is an important cog in a crucial department of Advance Traders and as such a person with great leadership, multitasking and attention to details is needed. The role will also require frequent communication and cooperation with other teams within the business such as marketing, finance and the sales team.

Your primary responsibilities:
Managing relationships between ATA and Freight Forwarders
Achievement of targeted savings from estimated freight costs to actual costs
Lead and manage all modes of shipments end to end
Negotiating freight rates with external partners (domestic and International)
Managing of Freight results against budget and re-acting when needed
Optimizing laneways using various providers
Manage the Placement of international freight bookings with preferred suppliers
Reporting on controlled areas and publishing results monthly
Monthly 1 on 1’s with team members
To succeed you will be able to demonstrate:
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar roll
Excellent Freight forwarding and domestic freight knowledge
Experience in leading a team
Ability to problem solve
Ability to promote and build strong internal and external relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional approach and a self-driven nature
Pronto system knowledge an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
