Manufacturing Engineer - Geelong


Partington CC is looking for an experienced and talented Manufacturing Engineer, to join our team on a full-time basis in Waurn Ponds, Victoria.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will have ownership over a process area. Taking ideas from concept all the way to implementation and beyond; this is an all-encompassing engineering role, that requires a diverse range of skills.

We are small team with a ‘can do’ attitude. We support our staff and offer an EAP program with LifeWorks.

The Role

  • Design & develop the methods, machines, and equipment to enable and optimise the manufacture of high-end composite components and products

  • Drive manufacturing efficiencies through robust and novel techniques

  • Engineer high quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools. Solidworks preferred

  • Produce designs that meet targets for performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation, and timing

  • Good presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate to all levels within the company and to external stakeholders

  • Discussing new design concepts with the design team and thinking about the process to make it a reality

  • Create SOP’s and WI’s to go along with the processes created

  • Using our workshop to proof-out the tooling and commission your processes

  • Liaising with external research partners, manufacturers & suppliers.


  • A successful candidate must have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent

  • 5 + years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrating clear tenure in process development and engineering

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (Preferably Solidworks)

  • Project planning experience with the ability to manage complex projects

  • A strong desire to learn by trying new things, shifting, and adapting your approach to push for improvement

  • Exceptional technical aptitude.
