Bicycle Queensland (BQ) is Queensland’s point of connection for the future of riding. We represent and influence decisions that impact people who use bikes for transport, wellbeing and recreation. We are committed to working with governments, the corporate sector, research organisations and riders to improve riding experiences across Queensland.

We are one of the largest and most influential community cycling organisations in Australia, with over 14,000 members and 32,000 supporters. We have a small team of people with big ambitions and a significant state-wide agenda to fulfil our vision of more people riding more often.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with a positive, ‘can-do’ approach to support our Marketing and Membership teams and the general running of the BQ office. Your main duties involve implementing the day-to-day marketing activities, being one of the first points of contact for current and prospective BQ members and supporting all stages of the membership journey.

Working closely with our Marketing Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to be involved in our famous Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycling Challenge, HER RIDE skills days and advocacy videos.

You will be an enthusiastic individual, with excellent communication skills and be an outstanding brand ambassador for, and share the values of, BQ.

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • tertiary qualifications in marketing or communications (completed or in final year of study);

  • previous experience in a marketing or sales role (advantageous);

  • administration or customer service experience;

  • knowledge of Wordpress, social media scheduling tools and EDM platforms;

  • an understanding of CRM platforms;

  • your confident telephone manner and written communication skills; and

  • a collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a small team environment.

You will:

  • be tech-savvy and have the ability to learn new systems quickly;

  • be self-motivated, take responsibility and use initiative;

  • have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities; and

  • have exceptional copywriting and proof-reading skills.
