Marketing Coordinator - Brisbane


Bicycle Queensland (BQ) is a single point of connection for movement building – a movement focused on getting more people safely and happily riding bikes. We provide a contemporary voice for the riding public and solve problems with key decision-makers.

We are one of the largest and most influential community cycling organisations in Australia, with over 16,000 members and 32,000 supporters. We have a small team of people with big ambitions and a significant state-wide agenda.

About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring end-to-end execution of all marketing, advertising and communication activities as per agreed plans. You will be a fully integrated member of the BQ team, working across all areas of the organisation – membership, events, advocacy and education. If you'd like to be a driving force for health and well-being and have a passion for marketing, an analytical and creative mind with excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities this is the perfect role to grow your career!

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • degree qualifications in marketing or communications;

  • successful professional marketing experience, including campaign coordination/management;

  • high-level copywriting skills to create regular and engaging website, social media and EDM content;

  • proficiency in Canva, Hootsuite, Facebook and Google ads, Microsoft Office, and WordPress;

  • experience with a CRM, email communication, customer segmentation and managing subscribers; and

  • coordinate external and internal stakeholders.

You will:

  • have an eye for detail and highly developed proofreading skills;

  • be self-motivated;

  • have the ability to take responsibility;

  • use initiative;

  • manage your time to deliver to deadlines; and

  • work collaboratively in a small team that values culture.
