Regional sales rep - VIC/SA

The team at Garmin are expanding. If you enjoy running, cycling, swimming, golf or are passionate about an active lifestyle, this is the position for you. Garmin are looking for a highly motivated professional to cultivate/expand sales within existing accounts and develop new retail sales within Consumer Electronics and Fitness. This is a Victorian based position with extensive travel across Victoria and South Australia.


  • Passionately and professionally promote Garmin products through retail channel.

  • Establish and execute sales plans, sales promotions

  • Establish and maintain dealer relationships

  • Territory development including regional/rural sales trips.

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and profits within a specific region

  • Monitor market for competitive strategies and pricing

  • Create and make sales presentations to prospective and existing accounts.

  • Attend and help coordinate trade shows & consumer shows, including weekend work when required

  • Travel with little or no supervision

  • Educate dealers and perform product training sessions for dealers when appropriate


  • Complete timely and succinct trip and status reports

  • Excellent product and pricing knowledge

  • Retail merchandising

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

  • Work effectively and professionally with other team members, learn from and shares knowledge with others by documenting and contributing to knowledge base


  • 2+ years’ experience in sales and marketing, and/or equivalent

  • Met and/or exceeded past sales goals

  • Extremely self-motivated

  • Exceptional communication oral/written and interpersonal relationship skills

  • Experience in fitness/outdoor and or technology marketplace

  • Proven track record of sales successes

  • Excellent organisation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks

  • Excellent time management skills


  • Personal experience in outdoor recreational activities

  • Excellent product knowledge of communication and navigation systems

  • Experience selling to consumer retail
