This role is responsible for a broad range of daily accounting and reporting functions for Trek Australia’s retail businesses.
Position Responsibilities
Preparation of the monthly Retail Store accounts, workpapers, and management reporting.
Business Partnering to Store Managers and Retail Staff
Investigate and provide context to variances in accounts
Ensure financial controls and processes are followed
Bank & Purchases reconciliations
Preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts
Assistance with the accounts payable function
Preparation of business cases including due diligence and investment analysis
Preparation and ownership of capital expenditure budget & maintenance of fixed asset register
Internal and external stakeholder management
Assist the Retail Finance Manager implement the business plan and other projects as required
Other duties as required
Essential Skills/Experience
Minimum of 2+ years of demonstrable experience in a similar position
Experience completing bank reconciliations and involvement in monthly close process (preparation of balance sheet workpapers)
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Excellent time management skills including timeliness of decision
Balance conflicting priorities and work well under pressure
Be curious and open to new ideas
Work independently as well as part of a team
Maintain confidentiality (essential criteria)
Strong MS Office skills (excel essential)
