What you’ll be doing
The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager ANZ, and providing guidance to the Retail Marketing Specialist and broader marketing team.
As a member of a 6-person Australia New Zealand marketing team, your responsibilities include:
Understanding and localising Trek’s global retail marketing direction to drive value to the ANZ markets
Determining basic, short-term, and long-term marketing activities for Trek owned retail stores (DOTS) and independently owned store (IBDs).
Working with the operations, inventory and sales teams to establish high-level marketing goals for DOTS and IBDs with a 360 approach (digital, social, retail, events)
Establishing a process to monitor and communicate progress towards each of these goals
Leading the Retail Marketing Specialist to implement and monitor marketing activities for DOTS
Working with the internal Trek marketing team to create relevant content and assets that can be utilized by DOTS and IBDs
Plan and implement marketing plans for new DOTS openings with the support of Retail Marketing Specialist
Support the communication of Trek University modules, the company’s online training tool, across DOTS, IBDs and internal stakeholders
Who you are
Bring good energy to Trek and the marketing team, with a passion for sport, fitness and/or health
A tertiary marketing degree and/or 7+ years consumer marketing experience with a specific focus on retail
Customer-first in your approach, and have experience in understanding audiences and their journeys to purchase
Experienced in retail marketing strategies, across both online and offline channels
Strong attention to detail and ability to heavily prioritize and deliver on those priorities on schedule.
Flexible and creative problem solver — able to tackle complex issues while collaborating across multiple teams and maintaining an optimistic attitude.
Proven ability to develop marketing strategies and direct the implementation of key marketing activities that deliver on the strategy
Demonstrated ability to utilize data when making business decisions
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
A high performer with a willingness to roll up your sleeves
Highly organized with a focus on forward-planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
