Retail store manager - Maelbourne


MAAP was established in 2014 with the mission to inspire cyclists to go further, on their terms. We achieve our mission by supplying high-desire performance products to the new breed of riders, who are redefining the sport globally and never looking back. The key responsibility of the retail manager is to take full accountability for MAAP’s retail flagship experience. Manage the day-to-day operations in order to achieve sales, wage and expense budgets, while ensuring all working processes comply with MAAP standards and policies.

Qualifications & experience

  • At least 2 years retail experience in a fashion, sportswear or similar environment, with experience in Store or Team Management

  • Excellent management skills

  • Excellent customer service and selling skills

  • Excellent merchandising skills & experience

  • Ability to lead a team in the pursuit of common goals

  • Self-motivated and self-confident

  • Ability to think strategically and proactively

  • In-depth knowledge of retail management and customer service

  • Proven ability to deliver results, drive sales and motivate your team

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Champion a sales-driven culture and lead from the front, while focusing on delivering the highest standards of customer experience and satisfaction

  • Manage the MAAP Sales Journey, ensuring the highest level of customer service and brand experience is delivered consistently

  • Know, use and ensure all team members are trained in all store policies, procedures, standards and systems

  • Daily operations of the store including but not limited to; opening, closing, banking, cleaning, VM, inventory processing, team training and sales performance

  • Keep up to date with all MAAP product information and train the retail team on all new product features and benefits

  • Responsible for the rostering for the store, in-line with wage budgets and sales targets

  • Inventory management, responsible for accurate stock handling, transaction processing and integrity and stocktake performance in-line with KPIs

  • Responsible for the Sales performance of the store, in-line with Sales Budget KPIs
