Echelon Sports is a family owned premier cycling distribution business who is looking for a motivated candidate to join our team as Sales Team Leader here in Hemmant, Brisbane. The successful candidate must have experience in both Sales and Team Leadership roles as well as experience working within the industry. In addition, having a love of cycling would be a natural addition. We are looking for a person who delivers an energetic, enthusiastic personality and displays initiative, along with focus and determination to be able to make the position successfully their own. The successful candidate should be available to start in Mid-Late January 2023.

Sales Team Leader Position Requirements Assist Managers in Sales Strategy Development Although the Sales Team Leader’s primary role is to work closely with the sales team, the successful candidate will assist the Managing Director with sales strategy development and implementation. This includes developing strategic sales plans that support the existing customer base along with expanding the customer base and ensuring the business further extends its leadership position in the Australian cycling industry. Keep Informed of New Products and Services In order to hit sales targets and achieve growth, the Sales Team Leader must continue to develop knowledge of the product portfolio and services being delivered. They will also need a working knowledge of their industry's climate and competitors to effectively implement and deliver the sales strategy. Train and Coach the Sales Team Within the position, you will guide your sales team with training, strategies and advice to achieve and continue our competitive edge in the industry. You will work with the sales team on how to improve sales performance and find new ways to reach new heights. Delegate Tasks and Set Deadlines The successful candidate will delegate tasks to the sales team and ensure outcomes are meet within the specified deadline to deliver the required sales outcome at the highest level. Set Sales Targets and Motivate Sales Team The successful candidate will plan and deliver sales objectives for the day/week/month. They will have the ability to motivate the sales team in order to reach individual and team objectives and encourage the team to work more efficiently to achieve those objectives. Prepare Sales Reports The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering sales reports to the management as well as reporting on team member performance and mission-related objectives. Customer Service The successful candidate will be required to assist with Customer Service inquiries as required on a daily basis to assist the sales team. Sales Team Leader Skills and Qualifications As the key contact point for the sales team, the Sales Team Leader will exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills. Solid knowledge of the products within our current portfolio as well as team leadership experience and success is essential in order to be considered for this position. In addition, the following skills are required:

  • Sales Industry Experience: the Sales Team Leader manages people who generate sales. To be successful, having a working knowledge of sales processes as well as s solid insight of the cycling industry, is necessary

  • Leadership and Motivation Skills: the Sales Team Leader motivates the team in order for them to reach their full potential by encouragement, inspiration and respect

  • Customer Service: the Sales Team Leader will guide team members in providing excellent customer service

  • Organization: the Sales Team Leader will have excellent organisational skills

  • Communication: it is crucial the Sales Team Leader clearly communicate all aspects of the sales operation and performance to team members and Management

  • Computer skills: a high level of experience using Microsoft Excel is a must, previous knowledge of EXO Business would be favourable along with other CRM systems
