The Senior Event Coordinator (Santos Tour Down Under) will work with event management to deliver engaging, impactful and relevant managed events in order to meet the needs of consumers and event stakeholders. This role will lead the delivery of the Santos Tour Down Under and its associated events.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Santos Tour Down Under Event Manager to produce a compelling event that is engaging and reflective of the event audience

  • Work in collaboration with and take advice / recommendations from managers in functional areas of SATC / Events South Australia including marketing, PR, Digital, Commercial, Finance and Procurement in order to grow the event

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Santos Tour Down Under event project plan, event specific databases (where relevant) and event run-sheets

  • Assist the development and maintenance of risk management and emergency response plans for the Santos Tour Down Under and associated events, including the receipt of risk management information/plans from host councils and relevant contractors

  • Coordinate route drives to facilitate the development of GPS enabled maps for TDU website, brief and familiarise contractors and obtain an understanding of each route

  • Plan and deliver all elements of the Santos Tour Down Under event launch and contribute to coordination of other event-related functions

  • Coordinate stage management for the Santos Tour Down Under including commentator scripts, presentation podiums and team presentation (including printing of jerseys, presenters, run sheets, recruitment of stage assistants and purchasing and organising all trophies, flowers and gifts)

  • Establish and maintain relationships with all key contractors involved with the delivery of Tasting Australia managed and associated events

  • Project manage the Tasting Australia managed and associated events including the development of all contract management documents (including tender documents, service briefs and acquisition plans) in conjunction with the Event Manager

  • Supervise the Events South Australia Event Coordinator and establish performance management objectives, evaluate the results and provide constructive feedback, based on SATC’s performance management program

  • Work with the Tasting Australia event team to deliver a component of the Tasting Australia managed events program, with work requirements to be included in a detailed brief.

The role will be offered as a three (3) year contract and subject to six (6) months’ probation and participation in regular performance reviews.
