Sports development officer - Perth

MY RIDE ROCKINGHAM

We are looking for someone to plan, organise and deliver cycling activities based from the My Ride Rockingham store and within the local area.

Promote and deliver sessions for a range of people learning to ride or returning to the sport

Liaise with local cycling and running clubs to establish links to explore future opportunities.

Plan training sessions on topics that are relevant to cycling or that can be applied to a range of sports, for example Bike maintenance, sports nutrition or

Arrange to host training sessions for volunteers, coaches, and parents to upskill people to support the delivery of sessions in the local area.

Design and produce promotional materials for training, coaching sessions, and information booklets.

Research into possible funding opportunities available for local groups

Skills and Experience

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Sports Development or a relevant subject

• 3 years’ experience working in Sports Development or a similar a role

• Knowledge across a broad range of cycling topics

• Relevant experience in working or volunteering with local sports groups and clubs

• Working with Children Check

• Police Check

• Valid First Aid Certificate

• Australia Cycling Coaching Qualification

• Understanding of the local sporting environment and potential participants
