Samson Cycles is a well known, quality bicycle brand in Brunswick, Victoria and we are looking at taking our brand to the next level.
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic bicycle mechanics to join our team.
We pride ourselves on offering outstanding mechanical services to our customers and expect that the new mechanics will continue to support us as a very well respected bicycle shop in Melbourne’s inner north.
We are looking at offering both part time and also full time positions and can be flexible with what works best for everyone.
We offer appropriate workshop and customer service training if requited.
Required skills:
- Well developed bicycle mechanical skills with 1-2 years experience minimum.
- A broad knowledge about all bicycles and related products.
- Mechanic skills to build, service and repair a wide range of bicycles, with confidence.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with staff and customers in store and on the phone.
- Self motivation and experience working on their own and within a team.
- An ability to show initiative and resolve problems.
- Ability to perform tasks autonomously.
- Pro-active, punctual and presentable.
- Consistent, with a high level of attention to detail.
- An outgoing and friendly manner.
- A passion for cycling.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities include:
- Servicing and repairs to a large range of various bicycles in a professional and timely matter.
- Book in services.
- Shop floor sales if required..
- Pre dispatch inspections on sold bikes.
- Assembling and building bicycles for customers and the shop floor.
- Answering the phone.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workshop and store.
- Assist with the day to day running of the store.
Must be able to work at least one weekend day.
Required experience: Min 1-2 years mechanical and sales experience in a bicycle shop.
