Sustainability forum

Tony Mitchell, President of the UCI Sustainability Commission and President Oceania Cycling led the BIA industries first sutainability forum at the TDU on the 17th of January 2024. Tony was joined by;
- Mark Eedle, Asia Pacific Manager of Advoacy and Engagement at Trek Bicycles
- Lisa Howard and Jil Tomaschko from Schwalbe
- Jessie Alice, Brand Manager Eco Ocean Haircare and Inner Tuber Recovery Program

The forum idenitified key issues regarding reducing the carbon foorprint of the industry, reporting requirements ESG factors, the economic impact of non-action, coming government interventions and the leading examples of how the industry is achieving succesful outcomes.
