About the Role

This Canberra-based role plays a critical part in supporting Ascend, Trek's proprietary Point of Sale (POS) system, and expanding its impact across our Owned Retail network and Independent Bike Shops. You'll be instrumental in ensuring Ascend runs smoothly, while also driving strategic projects that extend beyond POS to elevate retail operations.

As a key member of the team, you'll act as a trusted advisor, problem-solver, and trainer for our store teams. You'll champion technology and operational excellence, helping our retail teams get the most out of Ascend and related systems.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Support to Independent Bike Shop (IBD) Customers & Trek Retail Stores

    • Respond to support requests via phone & email

    • Maintain product and hardware updates/replacements

    • Develop training and support resources

    • Manage inventory, pricing updates, and marketing changes

  • Grow the Ascend Australia Customer Base

    • Identify and nurture prospects

    • Deliver product demos and prepare quotes

    • Manage new installations and budgets

  • Drive Key Projects Across Trek Australia

    • Lead retail and wholesale efficiency initiatives

    • Manage inventory projects

    • Support cross-departmental process improvements

What You'll Bring

  • Strong customer service skills (phone and email) with excellent verbal and written communication

  • Knowledge of Ascend is preferred but not essential training will be provided

  • Familiarity with Microsoft peer-to-peer networking, desktop operating systems, and Office programs

  • Interest or experience in IT troubleshooting (SQL experience a plus)

  • Retail experience, ideally with retail management systems

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while staying positive and calm

  • Willingness to work occasional after-hours/weekends and travel as required

  • A "do more than asked" mindset, thriving both independently and in a team environment
