A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced bicycle mechanic to join one of the longest established and most successful bicycle stores in Brisbane.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working with all categories of bikes from high end road, gravel and mountain bikes to electric bikes and every day commuters. They will value the satisfaction to be gained from keeping the everyday cyclist on the road as well as keeping the performance cyclist's machine running smoothly.
The person we are looking for will pride themselves on their professionalism - honesty, organisation, efficiency, tidiness, customer service and the ability to work as part of a team will stand out in your work habits.
We would like to emphasise that we are only seeking expressions of interest from people who already have significant experience working as a professional bicycle mechanic. The sorts of questions we might ask you are: can you build a wheel, can you service suspension pivots, can you bleed brakes, can you tune both mechanical and electronic drivetrains?
At Epic Cycles we love bikes. We love riding them both on road and off road, and using them for the wonderfully efficient form of transport they provide both around town and on epic adventures. If you have a similar passion for bikes and would like to work in a friendly, like-minded workplace with a team of other experienced mechanics and sales staff please contact us.
All enquiries and applications will be kept strictly confidential.
Salary & Conditions
At Epic Cycles staff members currently work 5 days over a 6 day week from Monday to Saturday with regular rostered days off on Saturdays or Mondays. Although we are ideally seeking a full time mechanic, we will consider part time.
The salary will depend on the skills, experience and attributes of the successful applicants.
Location
Epic Cycles is centrally located in Brisbane at Paddington with easy access from most suburbs by bicycle, train or bus.
