Bike mechanic - Brisbane
We are retailers of major bike brands of all types - mountain, road, commuter, electric, gravity enduro, cyclocross, fitness and childrens bikes. We also stock an extensive range of bicycle parts and accessories.
Our workshop handles all types of bicycle servicing, bicycle building, part fitting, suspension servicing and wheel building. We service and repair all types of bikes ranging from basic chainstore ones, right through to high end mountain and road bikes, and many electric bikes.
Our workshop is an open design close to our point of sale area, so the workshop staff also have a high degree of client interaction. Customer service is our priority and we have many regular clients.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Bicycle servicing and repairing - brake bleeding - bicycle and wheel building - suspension servicing - fitting parts
Diagnosing work required on a job
Discussing bicycle service enquiries & problems with clients
Costing jobs and processing payment through Point of Sale system
Keeping workshop clean and organised
Assisting with bicycle and accessory sales when required
Ability to be flexible with hours/days if required - this position is currently for 4 days per week, weekdays, but you could be asked to fill in for some Saturdays.
Skills and experience:
Please do not apply unless you have considerable bicycle mechanic experience - with all aspects of bicycle repair. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be responded to.
Other requirements are:
Bicycle industry knowledge
Good work ethic with attention to detail
Self motivated with good customer service and communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
Basic computer skills and experience with retail POS systems
Experience with bicycle sales would be an advantage
