Bike mechanic - Gold Coast

DC TRIKE

Our company imports and distributes a unique electric stand up trike. The DC Trike. The trike is distributed in Australia, USA with a planned roll out to Europe.

We are looking for a bicycle mechanic to provide service and maintenance of the e-trikes to individuals and to fleet purchasers and to be a brand ambassador for our company through direct interaction and communication with potential purchasers including hire companies, resorts and private purchasers. Our trikes are made from high quality bike components

This role is ideal for a mechanically-inclined operations person that wants to build their career experiences. We are a small operation with big plans and your role is very much hands on.

What You'll Do

• Be responsible for the maintenance of e-trikes as an after sale service

• Perform types of repairs

• Be instrumental in other mechanics integration

• Follow processes. Able to comply with and to enforce processes

• Assist in the sales process by way or transportation of trikes, test rides and creation of displays at events

• Problem solve. You will identify issues and find creative ways to overcome obstacles

• Possess adequate computer skills

• Deal with purchaser of e-trikes and assist wherever possible in regards to assembly and ongoing customer support

• Stock control

About You

• Ideally you will have experience as a mechanic in the bicycle industry, however we are prepared to provide training to the right applicant

• Great communication skills

• Motivated, energetic individual who isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty

• Particular attention to detail

• Eager to learn, adapt to new concepts and assist wherever required

• Preferably, some technical expertise in mechanics and basics knowledge in electric bikes/trikes

• You will have an open driver’s licence

• You will have a great personality

• You will be flexible

The employment on offer is on a casual basis initially, with full-time hours on offer. Remuneration is offered as per the applicable Modern Award.
