Bike mechanic - Hervey Bay

We are seeking a skilled Bicycle Mechanic to join our team at Giant Hervey Bay. This is a full-time role based in our Hervey Bay (4655) location. As a Bike Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing expert service and repairs to our customers' bicycles, ensuring they receive the highest quality maintenance and care.

This isn't just a back-room workshop role — we're after someone who enjoys being part of a small local community, takes pride in their work, and genuinely enjoys helping people get the most out of their bikes.

If you're the kind of person who can hear a drivetrain noise from 10 metres away and won't let a bike leave the workshop unless it's perfect, we'd love to hear from you!

About the role

Your day-to-day will include:

• Completing bicycle repairs and servicing to a high standard

• Diagnosing incoming concerns and mechanical issues efficiently

• Building bikes accurately and to specification

• Providing advice to customers and guiding them through service and repair options

• Assisting with retail enquiries and sales

• Maintaining a clean, organised and stocked workshop

• Assisting with inventory and stock maintenance

• Working closely within a small, supportive team environment

We're looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy

• Proactive and able to work independently

• Friendly and confident with customers

• Organised with strong attention to detail

• Passionate about bikes and cycling culture

• Able to manage workflow in a fast-paced workshop

• A team player who brings good energy to work every day

Qualified bicycle mechanic preferred, but not essential for the right candidate
