Role and Responsibilities: As the Head Mechanic / Workshop Manager at Cyclespeed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our workshop and maintaining the high standard of service we're known for. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing the bicycle repair and maintenance services in our workshop.
Overseeing the assembly, servicing, and repairs of various types of bicycles to the highest industry standards.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Managing inventory, including spare parts and tools, to ensure efficient operations.
Collaborating with our sales team to offer expert technical advice to customers.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our workshop processes and customer service.
Qualifications and Skills: To be successful in this role, you should possess:
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a bicycle mechanic, with a deep understanding of various bicycle types and components.
Proven leadership experience, having managed a workshop or team of mechanics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing workshop operations.
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
A genuine passion for cycling and a desire to share your knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.
