About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced bike mechanic to join our team in Fitzroy. To be successful in this role; you can confidently to do the following:   

• Build and refurbish bikes in a timely manner. 

• Interact and deliver eBikes to customers from both our retail location and work  van when doing road deliveries days.

• Advise customers on maintenance, best practices and safety tips.

• Be comfortable speaking to customers about choosing the correct bikes for their needs, provide guidance and tips on purchasing accessories and safety gear.

• Stay informed on business changes, industry trends and in-coming stock.

• Diagnosing bike issues through inspections and tests.

• Capable of disassembling  bikes and  identifying parts that are needed and follow repair process.

• Clean, lubricate parts and systems and be able to reassemble bikes to adjust and align breaks, gears, chains, wheels and frame components.  

• Upload bikes onto internal computer programs and regularly run Bosch diagnostic reports.

• Be organised to complete your work in a timely manner, be responsible for daily goals, and maintain a clean work space.

• Work well in a team environment and be flexible with the desire to help the team achieve their goals

About You

We would love to hear from you if you are a highly motivated individual, who:

• has 1-2 years experience working as a bicycle mechanic (any eBike experience will be highly desirable)

• is comfortable working with computers to manage workflow

• has experience in customer service or retail

• has excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• can effectively manage and organise work in a systematic and timely manner

• has a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

• holds a current full Australian drivers licence (This is essential)

• is available for a rotating roster that includes Saturday
