Bike mechanic - Mooloolaba

Cyclezone Mooloolaba is looking for a practical, reliable bike mechanic to join the team.

This is a hands-on role focused on bike servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and bike builds in a high-end but laidback bike shop on the Sunshine Coast. The workshop is the priority, but like any good bike shop, there are times you’ll also help with customer handovers, front counter support, stock, and keeping the shop running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performing bike servicing, repairs, and diagnostics

• Building new bikes and preparing them for handover

• Communicating clearly with customers about service work, timelines, and recommendations

• Supporting customer handovers and workshop bookings

• Assisting at the front counter when needed

• Supporting sales with technical advice and product knowledge

• Helping with stock receiving, unpacking, labelling, and organisation

• Keeping the workshop clean, organised, and running efficiently

What You Bring

• Previous experience working on bikes

• Confidence across servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and bike builds

• Willingness to learn and keep developing your product and technical knowledge

• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job properly

• Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers

• A reliable, proactive, and team-first attitude

• Ability to work well in a busy shop environment

• Retail bike shop experience is preferred

• E-bike experience is a bonus

• Weekend availability is required
