Join Our Team – Bike Technician & Delivery Driver (Noosa-Based)Bike On & By Earth and Ocean
Love bikes, the outdoors, and providing great customer service? We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on team member to join our fun, active crew at Bike On and By Earth and Ocean in Noosa.
In this diverse and rewarding role, you’ll help maintain our fleet of bikes and e-bikes, deliver hire equipment across the region, assist with tour transfers, and play a vital part in delivering an outstanding customer experience—both in-store and on the road.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Maintaining and repairing bikes and e-bikes to a high standard
Delivering hire bikes and equipment throughout the greater Noosa area
Transporting tour guests to and from their accommodation
Assisting customers in-store and over the phone with bookings and inquiries
Using our online booking system and maintaining accurate records
Working as part of a supportive, energetic team
This role includes hands-on mechanical work, face-to-face customer service, and plenty of variety. You’ll need to be organised, adaptable, and enjoy working in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service in-store, over the phone, and via email
Maintain bikes, including e-bikes, to ensure safety and performance
Deliver and collect equipment efficiently and safely
Confidently use our online booking and point-of-sale systems
Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Essential Skills & Requirements:
Strong bike mechanical and maintenance skills
Good computer literacy and confident communication skills
Ability to lift bikes/kayaks safely in line with OH&S practices
Positive, proactive attitude with flexibility for changing daily tasks
Enjoyment of outdoor, active work and varied responsibilities
Required Certifications:
Valid Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Desirable (but not essential):
MTB coaching or guiding experience
Strong mountain biking skills
Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or rental services
Availability:
This is a casual role (approx. 25–30 hours per week across 4 days) with the potential to increase to a permanent position for the right candidate. Weekend availability and flexibility during school holidays and peak seasons is essential.
