Trek Bicycles are looking for Bicycle Mechanics of all shapes and sizes. Been in the industry for 10 years or just work on your own bike at home? These mechanical roles are an opportunity to work in Trek stores as part of the service team building, maintaining, and representing Trek Bicycles in Brisbane QLD. You will get to work on the full range of bikes and gain exposure and training on the latest and greatest technology in the industry! What you'll do As a Bicycle Mechanic (known as a Production Tech at Trek) no one day is the same as the last. This job is all about caring for bikes so their owners love riding them. You'll troubleshoot repairs and service all kinds of bikes on the spot and install the awesome accessories customers select for their new bike! You'll also be the first to have your hands on brand new models before they hit the sales floor. Most importantly, you'll build relationships with people who trust you to keep their gear running flawlessly. This role works closely with the Service Manager to care for and look after our customers and community. We're looking for a teammate with stellar customer service and a willingness to learn. Because you'll constantly be speaking with customers to evaluate issues and recommend repairs, we value fantastic hospitality skills above prior shop experience. This role requires elevated skills in communication, leadership and problem solving. What you'll bring to the team

  • Self-motivation, a positive, team-focused mentality, plus a willingness to pitch in on any task

  • Fantastic hospitality-a warm, approachable manner, great listening skills, and a drive to help in any way you can-even on the toughest, busiest days

  • Top-notch communication skills

  • Impressive attention to detail and a love for tinkering 'til you figure it out.

  • Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of servicing bicycles

  • A desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies

  • We are keen to hear from all levels of experience!
