For over 35 years, BikeSportz has been one of Australia’s leading distributors of premium cycling, endurance, and performance brands. Independently Australian-owned, we partner with world-class global brands and support more than 2,000 retailers nationwide through an integrated model spanning importing, warehousing, distribution, marketing, digital platforms, and technical support.
With 30,000+ active SKUs, omnichannel distribution (B2B, D2C, brand websites and marketplaces), advanced product data systems, and a national sales and logistics network, BikeSportz offers Product Managers a rare opportunity: real commercial ownership, backed by serious infrastructure and capability.
The role
This is a hands-on, commercially accountable role sitting at the centre of the business. You’ll define product ranges, manage pricing and stock, drive brand performance, and work closely with suppliers, sales, warehouse, marketing, and leadership to ensure each brand achieves sustainable growth.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role has visibility, influence, and clear performance accountability.

Lead range selection in collaboration with suppliers, Sales, and leadership
Own the full product lifecycle from onboarding through to rationalisation
Commercial & Pricing Management
Set wholesale and recommended retail pricing with disciplined margin control
Develop dealer programs, loyalty initiatives, and discount structures
Monitor competitor activity and market positioning
Stock, Forecasting & Supply
Determine stock order quantities using sales data, forecasts, and market insight

Actively manage stock on hand, fast movers, backorders, and slow-moving or problem stock
Provide regular stock and performance reporting
Product Data & Systems
Maintain accurate, high-quality product data in our ERP
Ensure pricing, part numbers, barcodes, attributes, imagery, and technical data are complete and current
Work closely with Product Data, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to support BikeSportz’s PIM-driven digital ecosystem
Sales Enablement & Training
Define product purpose, application, and positioning for Sales Consultants and Sales Representatives
Deliver regular product and brand training as part of weekly sales meetings
Equip Sales teams with the knowledge and tools needed to sell confidently
Marketing & Brand Activation
Partner with Marketing and Graphics teams to deliver brand-specific strategies
Support product launches, POS, campaigns, digital content, and dealer communications
Provide weekly product and marketing updates for internal sales bulletins
Warehouse & Operations Collaboration
Work with the Warehouse Team to ensure appropriate storage, flow, and availability
Align product decisions with BikeSportz’s high-velocity, digitalised warehouse operation
About you
You’re a commercially minded Product Manager, Brand Manager, or Category Manager who enjoys ownership and accountability.
You’ll likely bring:
Experience in product or brand management within distribution, retail, or eCommerce
Strong commercial judgement around pricing, margins, and stock decisions
Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (forecasting, analysis, reporting)
High attention to detail and confidence managing complex product data
The ability to communicate clearly and train others
Experience in cycling, sporting, outdoor, or performance products (highly regarded)
You’ll also be:
Open to interstate and occasional international travel to support suppliers, brands, and industry opportunities
Flexible with working hours when required (e.g. global supplier meetings across time zones)
Willing to attend industry events, activations, and occasional weekend commitments
Most importantly, you care about building brands properly — not just managing SKUs.
