Content and Community Coordinator - Perth

Sep 28
2 min read

We're looking for a driven creative to take ownership of our social media channels, engage with our community, and drive our new ambassador program.

Our journey

It started with a slingshot. In 2012, our co-founder Kingsley Fiegert was riding through the Perth Hills when he was hit by a ball bearing fired at him from a passing car. Rather than let it go, he set out to build a solution, and Cycliq was born. Today, our range of bike cameras with integrated safety lights captures every ride and is trusted by riders worldwide to have their back.

We're a social-first organisation, and we believe storytelling through video is one of the most powerful tools we have. That's why shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a 60-second video as part of the next stage, telling us why you're passionate about this role.

About the role

This role involves taking ownership of Cycliq's owned channels, creating social media content aligned with our content strategy pillars, liaising with our community and advocating for their stories, taking ownership of our ambassador program, and crafting weekly emails to the Cycliq community via Klaviyo.

Content & community

* Plan, create and edit media content that aligns with our content pillars and monthly calendar

* Source and curate UGC from our community, turning it into short-form video for Instagram and Facebook

* Design social graphics and edit video tailored to different rider personas (commuters, racers, weekend warriors, etc.)

* Monitor and moderate comments, and flag emerging trends back to the team

* Collaborate with customers to collect and share their stories in our weekly EDMs, built and scheduled via Klaviyo

Ambassador program

* Identify and recruit new ambassadors who align with Cycliq's values

* Onboard and manage relationships with ambassadors, keeping deliverables and timelines on track

* Provide brand guidance to ambassadors to keep creator content consistent

About you

You're proactive, detail-oriented, and just as comfortable building an EDM in the morning as editing a UGC Reel in the afternoon. You thrive in a small, fast-moving team, don't mind wearing multiple hats, and know how to grab attention in a crowded social feed. As a brand, we're bold and not afraid to call out bad drivers. We also love a morning brew.

* 1-3 years in content, social media, or community roles

* Comfortable with video editing and Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro, or similar tools like Canva

* Strong copywriting skills across tone and channel

* Organised, with a customer-first mindset and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

* Genuine interest in cycling or fitness is a bonus, not essential

* Familiarity with Klaviyo, Asana or Statusbrew is a plus

The details

* Part-time, 3 or 4 days a week (exact days discussed with the successful candidate)

* Based out of our Subiaco office

* Competitive salary

Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a portfolio of any previous social/video/design work. Shortlisted applicants will be asked for a short video in the next stage.
