Duty manager - Noosa

Adventure Tour and Hire Company Admin / Duty Manager

30+ hours per week | Noosaville

We’re looking for an organised, proactive Administrator and Duty Manager to join our growing outdoor adventure business in Noosaville, operating bike hire, surf hire, kayak tours and e-bike tours.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced tourism environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently juggle customers, staff, logistics and bookings.

About the Role

This position combines administration, customer service and duty management responsibilities. You’ll be a key point of contact for both customers and staff, helping ensure our daily operations run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling customer inquiries (phone, email and in-person)

  • Processing sales and managing incoming and outgoing hire orders

  • Managing tour, hire and event calendars

  • Planning logistics and coordinating equipment, tours and staff

  • Directing staff and supporting daily operations as duty manager

  • Maintaining accurate booking and hire records

  • Basic bike mechanical checks and understanding (training provided where needed)

About You

You’re organised, calm under pressure and comfortable taking responsibility. You enjoy working with people and systems, and you can think a few steps ahead when plans change (as they often do in tourism).

Essential requirements:

  • Permanent work rights in Australia

  • Strong computer skills and confidence using booking systems, email and spreadsheets

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to plan logistics and direct staff when required

  • Full Australian Driver’s License

  • Current First Aid, CPR and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain immediately)

Highly regarded:

  • Experience in tour guiding, tourism, or a hire/shop environment

  • Basic bike mechanical knowledge

  • Previous duty manager or supervisory experience in a complex business

What We Offer

  • 30+ hours per week with stable, ongoing employment

  • Above-award pay for the right candidate

  • A supportive team environment in a well-established local business

  • Variety – no two days are the same

  • Work in one of Noosa’s best outdoor-focused tourism settings

How to Apply

Please apply with your resume and a short cover letter outlining your relevant experience and availability.

Only applicants with permanent work rights in Australia will be considered.
