Ride Electric is one of Australia's market leaders in electric bikes and electric scooters. We are seeking an Electric Bike and Scooter Mechanic to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our service department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, repair and maintenance of electric bikes and scooters.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electric Bike & Scooter Mechanic to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electric mobility vehicles and a passion for keeping riders safe and on the road.
Positions available at our Southport and Burleigh workshops.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electric bikes and scooters
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and safety checks
Troubleshoot electrical systems (motors, controllers, batteries, wiring)
Assemble new e-bikes and scooters
Replace and repair mechanical components (brakes, tyres, suspension etc.)
Keep accurate service records
Provide excellent customer service and technical advice
Requirements
Experience working with electric bikes, scooters, or similar vehicles
Minimum 6-12 months experience working with electric bikes, scooters, or similar vehicles is required
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of lithium battery systems and motor controllers (preferred)
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Relevant technical certification or training is a plus
Australian work rights are required for this position
