Team Purpose
AusCycling’s Commercial & Marketing Pillar has been established to diversify the revenue base of AusCycling by leveraging the sport’s key brand assets.
Working across the organisation, the Commercial team oversees brand and marketing and drives the sponsorship, philanthropic and licensing functions of the business.
Position Purpose
The Marketing Campaigns Manager is responsible for planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across our diverse portfolio of events, programs and products, with a view to driving business outcomes, building brand awareness and growing positive sentiment towards AusCycling.
Responsibilities
Develop an annual calendar of marketing campaigns to support events, programs and products across the organisation – including membership and race licences, the Australian Cycling Team, AusBike, Brisbane Cycling Festival and major national and international events hosted by AusCycling.
Drive the creative delivery, campaign strategy and media mix planning, including appropriate integration of key partners.
Collaborate with the Media team to drive and execute content plans through AusCycling’s owned channels, to support the marketing campaigns.
Work in partnership with AusCycling’s broadcast partners to identify opportunities to amplify and promote marketing campaigns.
Conduct post-campaign reviews and develop recommendations aimed at continual improvement.
Effectively manage relevant components of the Commercial budget
Manage direct report Marketing & Brand Co-ordinator and act as a leader in the Commercial team.
Provide support and advice on cross-pillar business priorities where consultative marketing engagement is required.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with external agencies, media, broadcast and delivery partners.
Contribute to the development and execution of AusCycling’s marketing and brand strategy.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related field are highly desirable for this role, together with relevant experience in driving and delivering marketing and brand campaigns.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Strong experience in developing marketing plans and leading integrated marketing campaigns from planning through to execution.
Solid understanding of the broader communications landscape including PR, sponsorship, content development and broadcast integration.
Strong knowledge of media planning, digital marketing and social media.
Experience in developing creative briefs for in-house designers and external agencies.
Experience in managing marketing and media budgets.
A creative mind with commercial acumen.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to prioritise a busy and diverse work schedule.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of the sporting landscape, and an understanding of the marketing and brand opportunities of AusCycling’s activities from grassroots participation to elite competition.

Note:This role requires the incumbent to hold and maintain a Working with Children Clearance. Travel to enable collaboration with stakeholders and attendance at meetings is a requirement of the role, along with reasonable additional hours as necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
