Marketing coordinator - Melbourne

We believe in liveable places where people are physically active - that's why we make it easier to ride a bike. About Bicycle Network

Bicycle Network believes that physical activity & sustainable transport is vital for a happy, healthy community – that’s why we make it easier for everyone to ride a bike. We support and service the needs of nearly 50,000 members, thousands of event participants and the general bike riding community across Australia.

We're pedalling hard to build a nation of bikes riders and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join us in our Melbourne CBD office! About the Opportunity

As the Marketing Coordinator, you’ll be driving engagement and value for our riders as well as sales and registrations for our events, products and services through marketing campaigns, digital marketing, content development, promotions and thorough market research.

We’re looking for a progressive thinker, someone who’s always striving to improve and try new things to stay ahead of the pack. In this role, you’ll be playing a big part on our events to understand the needs and motivations of bike riders. You’ll also work with the wider Bicycle Network team to move towards a happier, healthier and more sustainable community.

How you'll do that:

  • Plan, develop and deliver marketing campaigns that people notice and are motivated to act from

  • Grow our brand presence and increase engagement across our media channels

  • Produce digital marketing content to engage users across all channels

  • Monitor and run Bicycle Network's social media accounts

  • Plan, execute and measure EDM campaigns to drive sales and continuously build on email performance

  • Manage and enhance website content across all Bicycle Network brands to attract and improve the user experience

  • Execute social media advertising and PPC campaigns with regular optimisation

  • Identify opportunities for cross-promotion and foster positive working relationships with like-minded brands

  • Anything else that comes up (hey we’re an adaptable organisation that helps each other, so we can’t be constrained by what’s in this ad).

Our Marketing Champion has a finger on the pulse of what's happening in the wider world and the world of bikes, a superb eye for detail and and can write and produce great content!

You'll enhance our team with:

  • A level head when juggling competing priorities

  • Experience building and sending EDMs and segmenting data

  • Knowledge of SEO best practice and the ability to enhance our website content (WordPress)

  • As a team player who is resilient, adaptable and unflappable

  • Commitment to tackle any challenge and passionately pursue our purpose

  • Ability to think creatively and outside of the box

  • A valid Working With Children Check (or a willingness to obtain);

  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 (or hold a valid medical exemption); and

  • Bike memes (for morale, of course!)

Experience within not-for-profits, sports, or health organisations would be beneficial, but are not essential. We aim to be committed, honest, inclusive, and progressive in all we do. You don't have to ride, but believing in an active future is a must for us!

Bicycle Network is committed to ensuring our team represents the diversity of our community. Women, indigenous people, people with a disability, young people, gender diverse people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

How We've Got Your Back!

  • Attractive salary circa $63,500-$67,000 commensurate with experience PLUS;

  • Bike packaging (salary packaging, but for bikes!);
