The key purpose of the Logistics & Inventory Manager role is to oversee all company logistics and inventory operations, processes and systems which support the production and sale of MAAP merchandise including; Supply Chain & Logistics, Warehousing and Fulfilment, Wholesale, eCommerce, Retail & Inventory Systems.
Operational Functions:
Ensure high quality, accessible and efficient management of programs, platforms, systems and activities, including:
Processes/systems involved in management and operations of product creation, purchasing and inventory control on the Enterprise Resource Planning platform (ERP)
Supporting the strategic growth and new market entry across B2B and B2C
Providing reporting and technical support to VP Operations
Oversee systems integrations, order fulfilment and reverse logistics across B2B, B2C and Retail
Processes/systems involved in the operations of B2C sales (including physical stores, omnichannel, and customer service systems).
Processes/systems involved in the operations of B2B sales
Implementation and integration of new logistics and warehousing management systems
Act as product data manager / product information QA
Systems implementation and improvement:
Subject Matter expert for inventory management in new ERP systems, retail POS and other organisational systems
Inventory and logistics lead for any ERP implementations
Prepare a 3-5 year strategy for warehousing and logistics management that supports the Company’s growth and overall Strategic plan.
Suggest and lead business improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Logistics Functions:
Inventory management:
Management of 4 global 3PLs, including monitoring inbound and outbound performance against SLAs
Ensure near real-time accuracy of inventory levels across all inventory locations
Monitor inventory movements and keep key stakeholders advised of any changes to planned inventory availability
Managing stock transfers between warehouses
Driving cost efficiency in 3PL warehousing and transport
Inventory control and cycle counting schedules at 3PLs
Stockatkes at Retail locations
Collect and manage key inventory data to assist with inventory purchasing optimisation and to coordinate stock movements in/out of 3PL sites
Develop, manage, and maintain all monthly inventory reporting for 3PLs
Reporting on SOH, Inbounds, Dispatched and Fulfilment activity KPIs
Ensuring 3PLs meet all SLAs
Assist with annual 3PL reviews (e.g. Performance reviews, Contract negotiation and analysis of alternative locations)
Freight costs:
Monitor global freight costs and ensure the lowest costs are incurred while still ensuring inventory is landed in line with deadlines/launch dates
Negotiate freight costs with freight providers and 3PLs based on volumes and market conditions
Own the Warehousing and Freight costs in the P&L
Strategic Execution:
Maximise the internal capability and extend external relationships and partnerships to achieve the strategic objectives of the organisation.
Effectively support the VP of Operations and the Leadership Team in the execution of strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce expenses and deliver revenue goals
Achieve strategic and business growth goals
Champion significant business improvement initiatives.
To be considered:
Minimum 6 years of experience within the Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or Warehousing industry
Experience in managing Inventory systems, ERPs, WMSs or similar
Tertiary qualified in Inventory; Warehouse & Logistics / Supply Chain based studies (not essential)
Detailed understanding of stock control principals
Ability to manage complexity and change in a dynamic environment
High analytical focus and ability to extract, interpret and report on relevant inventory data sets
Advanced experience with implementation and management of integrations with ERPs
Experience with implementation and management of EDI, ASN, ASR etc.
Excellent IT Skills and practical knowledge of ERPs. APIs, e-Commerce platforms, MS Office/Google Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
