Production operator - Geelong

Our manufacturing facility is located in the ManuFutures hub on the Deakin University campus, Waurn Ponds. The first bike wheel was launched in 2019 and achieved design awards for its innovation and is fast becoming a market leader. Building on this success, we are scaling manufacturing operations rapidly with an extended product development road map. We aim to support individual aspirations and development in the growth of our company and support our staff. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Fabrication of carbon fibre bicycle wheels.

  • Tool handling and Machine Operation.

  • Product assembly and component manufacture.

  • Wheel component preparation.

  • General workshop assistance and cleaning.

  • Quality management support.

  • Final packaging and boxing.

Skills & Competencies

  • Manual Dexterity - You will need to use your hands and fingers with precision on small items. Common work tasks will involve hand layup of spokes in wheel rim construction.

  • Communication - the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. You will be responsible for identifying and communicating any quality issues during production tasks.

  • Attention to detail - excellent attention to detail. Able to communicate issues and problems with team members.

  • Teamwork - willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.

  • Time management - accomplish objectives effectively within a time frame.

  • Ability to perform repetitive functions to a high standard.

Experience & Knowledge

  • No formal industry qualifications required.

  • Specific experience in composites not required. Training will be provided.

  • Own transport to job site required.

  • Allowed to work in Australia (Citizen or Appropriate Visa)
