The Community Bike Hub is a not-for-profit social enterprise dedicated to providing access to bicycles, repairs and cycling. We have built a community with 8 staff, 30 volunteers and 300+ members, dedicated to :
Selling affordable bicycles, servicing, and repairs
Recycling donated bikes and promoting sustainability
Providing refugees and other people in need with bikes and equipment
Sharing and learning repair and maintenance skills
Creating an inclusive community where all members can learn, positively contribute to the environment and improve their health and well-being.
RESOURCE CENTRE MANAGER:
The role of the Resource Centre Manager is responsible to oversee the Bike Hub Resource Centre every Saturday and to manage the volunteers who repair, refurbish and recycle donated bicycles.
The hours will be 10.00am to 3.00pm every Saturday.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Resource Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage resource centre
Control of recycling, storage, rubbish
Manage volunteers
Training and induction
Coordinate roles and responsibilities
Identify needs and program improvements
Create and maintain positive, fun, inclusive, engaging culture where success and anniversaries are celebrated
Manage bike refurbishment and repair
Design and manage quality assurance of refurbishments/repairs
Manage OHS, risk and compliance on-site
Develop and review processes and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this role, here are the experience/skills we are looking for:
Experience in high level bicycle repair and refurbishment
Demonstrated relevant experience within volunteer management.
Experience in leading, motivating and coordinating teams.
Demonstrated understanding of Workplace Health and Safety processes and risk management.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate and express requirements/expectations to a wide range of individuals.
Basic computer skills, especially emails and spreadsheets.
