Sales rep - Perth


We are seeking the services of an experienced field sales representative or sales agent with a passion for the cycling industry and a track record of sales success. You will work closely with and be supported by our Head Office and a Customer Service Team.

What will you be doing?

Sales: Growing our customers businesses and in turn our own, we are looking for an order maker as opposed to an order taker. You will hit allocated sales and gross profit targets whereby increasing our profitability and market share.

Plan: Develop a Territory Plan and present to management and colleagues at our sales conference. Use the tools and reporting capabilities provided to strategically plan activities.

Relationships: Develop and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships between Store owners, managers and AT Australia. Visit major stores within your Territory regularly and maintain significant contact with all stores via phone, email, Skype & EDM.

Product: Sell our extensive portfolio of desirable brands and product lines to stores within your Territory, thereby increasing sales and market share. You will be a field based extension to our product management team, reporting back on competitor products and activity versus the performance of our own product offering.

Opportunities: Critically analyse (using tools provided) sales opportunities in your Territory.

Marketing: Partner with stores to be present for key events and conduct demo days in your Territory. Execute key ATA marketing initiatives in stores.

Systems: Ensure all shops in your Territory are using our online systems for maximum efficiency.

Personal: Passion for bikes, unsupervised drive and enthusiasm, goal focused, ability to assert own ideas and persuade others, lateral thinker and excellent time manager. Analytical with a natural desire to win new business.

Experience: At least 5 years experience in a business to business product sales role or 3 years selling in the Cycling industry. A bachelor degree or higher qualification is preferred but not a requirement.

Skills: IT - highly competent with Microsoft Office, GSuite and related products and reporting tools, particularly Google sheets. Very strong written and verbal communication skills.

Where will you work?

You will be based in Western Australia and will spend significant time in retail stores, working with owners and managers to help them grow their businesses in partnership with AT. You will have a reliable vehicle which you are willing to use, in return for a per km mileage rate when undertaking business travel.

How do you get the job ?

We actively seek to hire people who have a demonstrated record of success. You will need to be a self-motivated highly proactive individual who can work (mostly) independently, but as part of a broader team. Your experience will show 5 plus years in a similar role with relevant qualifications. You will need to be committed to success and delivering year in year out growth in a rapidly expanding and highly competitive sector. You will need to prove that you are at least of an intermediate user skill level with MS Excel and a confident and capable communicator at all levels (both one on one and presenting to groups).
