The City is seeking an experienced senior designer in cycling infrastructure.
This role will be continuing the good work of the City, making it safe for cyclers, pedestrians and other road users.
The role will include managing the projects at the survey investigation design stages, obtaining approvals and developing concept and detail designs of cycling infrastructure.
You will actively contribute to the development of technical standards, construction specifications, standard drawings and management of cycling infrastructure assets in line with asset management principles, environmental sustainability best practice, operational requirements and the City’s 2030-2050 vision.
You will develop, manage and implement community engagement, consultation and liaison of internal and external stakeholders.
You will be developing cooperative partnerships with Council staff, adjoining councils and other external agencies including government agencies such as the NSW Police, Transport for NSW, State Transit Authority and Bicycle User Groups.
You will also prepare designs, coordinate and report on the installation of bike parking facilities.
