Stock Controller - Melbourne

Apollo Bicycle Company, a leading bicycle importer, located in Dandenong South. We are looking for a Stock Controller to manage our inventory and purchase merchandise based on our company’s needs.

To be successful in this position, you must be able to execute a strong work ethic and have skill sets and experience in the following areas:

Tracking shipments, overseeing inventory audits and maintaining reports of purchases and pricing. You should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams.

Stock Controller key responsibilities include:

  • Submitting purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) to internal databases

  • Placing orders to replenish merchandise as needed

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)

  • Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases

  • Processing importation documents and stock receipting shipments

  • Track shipments and address any delays

  • Coordinate regular inventory audits

  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)

  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)

  • Ensure purchases do not exceed budget

  • Processing customer orders

  • Managing company stock locations and the movement of stock holdings between internal stock locations of the business.

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role

  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures

  • Working knowledge of inventory management software.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Exposure to EXO Business -MYOB would be advantageous but not essential.

  • Active participation in inventory audits

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Good communication and negotiation abilities

A key aspect of the role is liaising with both internal and external customer, therefore you must be a good communicator with a strong customer service focus.
