We are seeking a creative, professional, and engaging Visual Merchandising Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.
The Visual Merchandising Specialist is responsible for providing layout and visual merchandising support for the implementation of projects that enhance the Specialized brand in our Retail stores and maximize our presence in the market across Australia.
The role is focused on optimising the rider journey experience within our retail store partners and we are looking for someone focussed on visual merchandising but with an interest in store design and layout.
Responsible for implementation of the Specialized Australia Retail Services plan including:
Oversee in store visual merchandising including development and execution of merchandising plans and planograms. Occasionally providing in store merchandising assistance.
Merchandising of product to create interactive rider experiences in-store that support our brand stories.
Lead the design and implementation of dedicated Turbo (e-bike) areas within new and existing stores. Drive visual representation of this category.
Oversee and implement store refreshes including updated store layouts, graphic refresh and updates to the look and feel of a store in line with our brand and retail direction.
Work with Marketing and Sales team to develop and produce the retail instore components to support promotions and new product releases.
Introductory store design and layout support for key retail partners.
Utilise and leverage internal libraries and resources in the planning and design of store builds for relocating or new retailers - provide basic design package (including floorplans, furniture layout plan), merchandising layouts, fixture orders & assembly guides.
Work with the Retail Excellence Manager in overseeing the budgets for each retail project, including invoicing and retailer communications.
Plan the annual use of Specialized fixtures including forecasting of requirements with the support of the Retail Excellence Manager.
Responsible for maintaining a communication line to Global Retail Services team and adjust global projects and strategies to suit local requirements.
Support Retail Excellence and Marketing Manager in planning, design and implementation of product displays and retail elements for Specialized Retailer Event.
Provide support to marketing in planning, design and implementation of our expo sites and product displays at trade shows, events, and expo’s.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
2-3 years’ experience in retail merchandising and or design
Excellent understanding of visual merchandising principles.
Experienced in creating interior visual merchandising packages.
A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, to take initiative and to work independently of day-to-day supervision.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, responsibilities, and projects.
Exposure to store design & fit out.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Proficient in Adobe Design Suite applications – Illustrator and Photoshop.
Experience with using 3D software e.g.: CAD, Sketchup, IWD or equivalent is beneficial.
Understanding of the construction process beneficial
Have an interest in the Cycling industry or passionate about a healthy and active lifestyle.
Tertiary qualification in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Marketing, Design or similar beneficial
