Warburton MTB trail maintenance


About the role

As a Trail Maintenance Officer at Yarra Ranges Council, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining and enhancing the Warburton Bike Park trails, ensuring they remain safe, enjoyable, and in top condition for riders of all levels. You’ll carry out routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and improvements to trails and infrastructure as well as supporting the bike park shuttle and patrol operations. If you have a passion for mountain biking, outdoor work, and delivering an exceptional visitor experience, this is your chance to make a lasting impact!

There are 2x full-time permanent positions available (each role is 38 hours per

week).

This is a Band 3 role with a salary range between $68,589 and $71,344 per annum, plus superannuation.

The positions will be part of a weekend roster, with support of work-life balance with a fortnightly or monthly rostered day off.

 

Experience and skills we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A passion for mountain biking or trail maintenance,

• Ability to work seamlessly with diverse teams, contractors, and customers to

ensure smooth, coordinated operations.

• Exceptional customer service skills, resolving issues with empathy and clear

guidance to deliver outstanding stakeholder experiences.

• Proficiency in operating, inspecting, and maintaining trail equipment while

upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

• A strong commitment to adhering to OH&S and environmental regulations for

safe work practices and effective risk management.

• A proactive mindset to anticipate challenges and take immediate action to

optimize processes and enhance efficiency.

• Technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and operating specialized trail

tools and machinery
