We are looking for an experienced bike mechanic for our locally owned and independent bike shop, providing expert sales and service in Bright.

We’ve been around since 1994 fixing, servicing and selling bikes in our busy store in Bright, Victoria.
We love bikes and we love riding here in the heart of Australia’s premier riding country. Road, mountain, gravel, racing and recreational biking - our shop offers a full range of bikes and servicing, and most importantly the knowledge and familiarity needed to enjoy this area.
About you:
We are searching for someone with experience servicing and building mountain bikes and ideally some knowledge of road, electric, high-end, recreational, kids and/or racing bikes. You will be an important contributor to our fun and supportive team. You’ll have the ability to do something different every day; flexibility and a willingness to learn; great customer service and communication skills; proven technical abilities and attention to detail; fantastic listening skills and contributions to our team culture; Most importantly you love bikes!

Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Assisting customers in a professional, informative and efficient manner
Quotes for the repairs and servicing they require
Utilise skills and knowledge to diagnose problems with a range of bicycles, including e-bikes.
Maintaining and repairing customer bikes and rental fleet to a high standard
Complete a range of servicing and repair functions promptly
assembling bikes
Inform customers of repair and servicing updates
Maintain the workshop including spare part orders etc
Work autonomously with limited management input
Process customer payments
Working with other team members to refine and improve our product range
Essential Skills and Qualifications
At least 3 years of continuous service in a bicycle mechanic role
Must have a high level of mechanical skills including knowledge of the latest technology in electronic drive trains & e-bikes.
Exceptional customer service skills, time management and team player mentality
A sound understanding of bicycle mechanics and customer sales
Attention to detail and an engaging personality
Ability to work in a dynamic and sometimes demanding environment
Desirable
Knowledge of POS and bike Hire computer systems
An interest in riding and the bicycle industry is desirable
Flexible days
Will include some weekends
