It provides quality bikes to suit all levels and experience plus always aiming to maintain a high level of customer service and workshop consistency. Cycle Spot has gained a great reputation, for the best bike service on the northern beaches. It has a constant flow of loyal customers coming through the door keeping the workshop busy all year round.
We are looking for a part-time/casual experienced bicycle mechanic, with retail sales skills and excellent customer service to grow and develop with the business. Joining the team at Cycle Spot allows you to work with some top end bicycle brands while offering you the opportunity to develop, and learn new skills in a fast growing business.
Required skills:
- Well developed bicycle mechanical skills with 1-2 years experience minimum.
- A broad knowledge about all bicycles and related products.
- Mechanic skills to build, service and repair a wide range of bicycles, with confidence.
- Experience and understanding in operating Lightspeed/ or other retail checkout and sales programs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with staff and customers in store and on the phone.
- Self motivation and experience working on their own and within a team.
- An ability to show initiative and resolve problems.
- Ability to perform tasks autonomously.
- Pro-active, punctual and presentable.
- Consistent, with a high level of attention to detail.
- An outgoing and friendly manner.
- A passion for cycling.
- Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities include:
- Servicing and repairs to a large range of various bicycles in a professional and timely matter.
- Book in services.
- Shop floor sales.
- Pre dispatch inspections on sold bikes.
- Assembling and building bicycles for customers and the shop floor.
- Answering the phone.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop and store.
- Assist with the day to day running of the store.
Job Type: Part-time/Casual.
Required experience: Min 1-2 years mechanical experienced and sales experience.
